M&F Western Products

BUSINESS OF THE WEEK M&F Western Products

This week, M&F Western Products is in the spotlight! This local, family-owned business has been running strong since 1969. Today, they manufacture and distribute a variety of western products, including boot supplies, hat supplies, wallets, buckles, jewelry, leather care and much more.
The story behind our #BOTW is pretty special! Chester (pictured below, on the left) and Evelyn Eddins started out repairing boots and shoes in 1951, and eventually, business evolved into selling western boots and clothing. Their children, Mickey and Frankie Eddins, used their knowledge of the industry, which they learned from growing up in the store, to start M&F Western Novelty in 1969. They started out by simply selling boot jacks and hat covers, and from there, they expanded the business and added other products into the mix. (You can find an up-to-date list of the brands they offer on their website, www.mfwestern.com.)

Today, Mickey is running, what is now M&F Western Products, with his three sons, Paul, David and John, and M&F is a leader in the industry for manufacturing and distribution. For more details about the history and progress of the company, you can watch this video, which was put together for their 50th celebration last year! https://youtu.be/mJTrFODPDTE

Paul Eddins, with M&F Western Products, provided us with a great video that tells the story of the company. If you read our previous post, you know what I’m talking about! This is a very small excerpt, from the narration of the video, that really stood out to me:

“M&F Western Products has grown exponentially and could not have done it without the hard work and dedication of the family, employees, sales force, suppliers and of course, the customers… The sum of the parts equals the whole, and that is what makes the company successful. All departments, from the warehouse to the sales force and everyone in between, are dedicated to the success and continued growth of M&F. The M&F story is one of hard work and most certainly, blessings from the good Lord above.”
