We are super excited to announce our new “Business of the Week,” Cross Motor Sales!!! 🚗
Located on Gilmer Street, in Downtown Sulphur Springs, this family-owned used car dealership specializes in clean, late-model automobiles at competitive prices. Since 1986, they have been serving customers in Hopkins County and the surrounding area, and have even served customers from as far as Australia and Canada!
If you live in the area, I’m sure you’re familiar with our #BOTW, Cross Motor Sales, but do you know the story about how the business got started?
It all began in 1981, when Red Cross was working as a conductor for KCS Railroad and got injured. During his recovery, he decided to start selling Nissan cars and trucks. Later on, after Red went back to conducting for KCS Railroad, he joined with Johnny and James Cross to form Cross Motor Sales. Today, the dealership is operated by Red and his son, Taylor.
In regards to the community, Taylor Cross said, “We’re proud of our city and community, and we want to be a part of its continued growth and success.” He, and his father, also want to extend a special “thank you” to the customers who have supported them over the years. The people they’ve had the opportunity to meet, on a daily basis, are what have made the job even more fun!
